Contec DE Disinfectant

Contec’s sterile denatured ethanol is a mixture of 70% v/v denatured ethanol and 30% water for injection or purified water. Contec’s ethanol is denatured using only IPA, resulting in a product with very low residue levels.

The alcohol mixture is filtered to 0.2 microns in a Class C cleanroom (ISO Class 7) and filled into bags. This clean manufacturing process, combined with the use of water for injection or distilled water, guarantees that the alcohol mixture has an endotoxin content of less than 0.25 endotoxin units/ml.

Contec sterile denatured ethanol has been sterilised by gamma irradiation at a minimum dose of 25 kGy using a validated procedure. It is supplied in 0.5 l or 1 l spray bottles equipped with a protective system that maintains sterility during use, or in 5 l containers with lids for larger areas. The 5-litre product is mixed with distilled water, whilst the product in the spray bottle is mixed with water for injection.
